We will move back to Sundays for Nippers starting in February.

Entries are open for this year's Masters State Championships.

Mentone LSC is hosting an RSA course for members and guests aged 18 and over (or nearly 18) who would like to work in the bar at the club over summer in paid and volunteer roles.

The course is being held at Mentone LSC but is facilitated by LiqCon so there are two steps required:

1. Complete this Trybooking and pay
2. You will receive an email after you have paid with a link to LiqCon which you need to use to register with them.

The Rotary Club of Brighton in association with the Brighton Lifesaving Club is conducting our 14th Bayside Swim on Australia Day, January 26 at Middle Brighton.

The event again includes a 200 / 300m Junior Dash and a 650m Intermediate Swim

Big congratulations to Mentone LSC athletes KK Lockwood in U13 and Allegra Di Deminico in the U14 group for their performances at Nipper Nats at Manly SLSC on 14 Jan.

Both competitors had strong results against some of the best nippers in the country.

Allegra's results included;

• Making the finals in the Board and Surf races 

KK's results included:

• Making the finals in Surf Swim, Board and Iron.
• Bronze Medallist in Surf Swim

KK Lockwood is the first Mentone LSC athlete to medal at Nippers Nats!!

We encourage our Nippers to develop and practice their skills with our formal training sessions and also on their own. Over the holiday period your Nipper will be able to use boards as long as the club is open. The club will be open during patrols on Saturday and Sundays 10am to 6pm during January.

If you are using boards, please make sure to handle with care (especially while on hard surfaces) and rinse with fresh water before returning to the rack.
