No dogs are to be brought into the Club dining area.

Under state laws dogs are not permitted in any area of a premises where food is handled and served. This includes the balcony as the dog must pass through the enclosed area of the premises.

Of course, certified assistance animals are permitted in any area of the premises, inside or outside, that customers can enter.

We have so many amazing volunteers around our club, but if there issomeone you think would be deserving of the award of Best Club Member for 2023/2024 then please submit a nomination.

The GM Membership Development will appoint a panel to discuss the nominations and make a decision.

Please use this form to make your nomination by 9pm Tuesday 19 March.

If you are able to provide bookkeeping support for accounts, banking and invoicing for 4-8 hours a week, ideally on Mon-Wed, please email Simone Corin via operations@mentonelsc.com. 

This will be a paid role.

Junior Pool Lifesaving training starts at 2.00pm on Saturday 20th of April 2024 at Mentone Aquatic.

Dates:  Friday, 17 May to Sunday, 19 May 2024

Location: YMCA Anglesea Recreation Camp, Anglesea. 

The bus to the camp departs from LSV headquarters in Port Melbourne at approx 4pm.

Criteria for attending as follows:

• 14 or 15 years of age at the time of the camp.
• Interested and excited in meeting other members from Victorian clubs
• Keen to learn more about lifesaving and future opportunities
• Is actively involved at Mentone LSC eg. nipper youth leader, patrol, sport.

Development Camp Objectives

• Develop participants self-awareness, leadership and understanding of team dynamics
• Enhance participants knowledge of lifesaving pathways and opportunities, and how they can contribute to their club
• Facilitate an environment to develop a network of friends across the state
• Broaden participants’ lifesaving skills
• Supporting participants to understand their own leadership style, and how their actions impact others

If you are interested in applying for this camp, please email development@mentonelsc.com by Thursday 28th March 10pm with a short paragraph explaining why you would like to attend the camp, including your contributions at the club.

We will then provide you with an endorsement letter for your application to submit to LSV by Tuesday 4 April (LSV Application deadline is 7th April). It should be noted that LSV make the final decision on who is accepted to attend the camp.

The organising committee for the Mentone Marathon swim would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who assisted both on the day and in the days and weeks leading up to the event. Without your help - the success of the event would not have been possible. 

The swim is a major fundraiser for our club - and after 4 years of not having the event due to covid and subsequently no clubhouse - we were incredibly proud to see it up and running again (and sold out!).
