A CLUB FOR EVERYONE

Mentone LSC: A club for everyone

Do you want to join the 2024 Life Saving Victoria “Club of the Year”?

Mentone Lifesaving Club is so much more than just a building, it is an amazing community resource and “A Place for Everyone”.

Membership at Mentone Lifesaving Club provides so many opportunities for community members to get involved and be part of a fantastic club.

For our younger members we facilitate the Nippers program for young children to learn about water safety and have fun at the beach, but we also offer opportunities for these children to progress down sporting pathways through regular fitness, skill training and carnival competitions.  For older children we provide further pathways through sport, as well as opportunities to complete the Surf Rescue Certificate and Bronze Medallion to become an integral part of our patrol teams.

For adults we also provide opportunities to develop skills for becoming a qualified lifesaver. Many of these skills are also beneficial in the wider community, such as First Aid and CPR. We also offer lifesaving related activities such as surf boat rowing, swimming and paddling which can be undertaken at a social level or in competition. If being a patrolling lifesaver is not for you, we have many opportunities in other roles such as coaching, team managing, club administration, fundraising and committee positions. A membership at Mentone LSC provides you with all of these options.

Key access is available to adult members after a minimum of 12 months membership. The level of access you are entitled to will depend on the volunteer role you have at our club and the contribution you make. The access control policy can be viewed on our website. Please email any enquiries regarding key access to our Building Manager.

We do not offer social memberships but we are open at times for meals and drinks to members and the public. Details of opening times are on our Bar & Kitchen webpage.
