When and why did you join Mentone LSC?
I joined Mentone LSC in 1990 as a junior member (now called nippers) – and I’ve been an active member ever since.
I joined up with my brother and sister as my Mum had been involved in lifesaving in her youth at Parkdale lifesaving club and our then President knew Mum from her days at Parkdale lifesaving club.
What roles have you had over your time at the Club?

I have been a patrol captain, club patrol captain, awards instructor, club Secretary, President, chair of the Building Redevelopment committee and now, GM Community Engagement.

What are you looking forward to this season at Mentone LSC?
I am really looking forward to seeing the club and our wider community thrive in our new facility! It’s going to be a really exciting year, with lots of activities on – and now having the ability to bring our club together again in our new home will be great.
